“I thought it was beyond fixing.”
"The chair with the joint separation was repaired at their shop, Result was seamless. Rocking chair I was especially pleased as the foot was actually broken, not just separated. Had thought it might be beyond fixing. Old Peg was able to not simply fix its appearance, but to restore it to 'working' order. Both repairs were accomplished and finished such that you can't distinguish from the original finish. I was curious as to how they had learned their craft as it isn't something you learn in BOCES or college. Not surprisingly, their knowledge and skill have been passed down from their father. As a bonus, on their way out they noticed an old humidor stand whose door didn't close quite right. They discerned it was a bent hinge, which they fixed in 15 minutes. I had been afraid to 'mess with it' and had been resigned to living with it the way it was."

We are very happy with the work. He explained to us exactly what it would take to fix our two pieces, did exactly what he said he would do, and the work is excellent. We would go back there, no problem. Work is superb in quality and finish and we are very happy with the excellence. I took our pieces to his shop and picked them up there when finished.

I delivered our table to the shop which took me a minute to locate when I pulled up. The owner met me and provided me with a reasonable estimate. He called about a week later to inform me that the repairs were complete. Outstanding quality and the legs are more sturdy than they have been in years. It came back better than new--very, very pleased. The top had beenscratched and wet paper had been laid on it--it is better than when I purchased it many years ago. Matches perfectly with rest of piece.
